ooo baby baby
The gym here at work recently got satellite radio, and I don't really see the point. I'm in there many times during the week, showering, working out, changing clothes, etc. and have yet to hear more than maybe 10 songs.
I swear if I hear "ooo-ooo-ooo", "oh-oh-oh", "eee-eee-eee", or "Bay-eeee-aaaa-beeee" one more time I am liable to start shooting. Also "angel", "forever", "home", "heart" or rhyming "glass" with "past." In that one song's case, I'd much prefer "glass" with "ass" as in "I will shove this shard of ... up your ... if you say that line again. Ooo ooo ooo bayeeaybabyyyy."
Just put it on classic rock and leave it at that. Please.
SO the exercise regimen is gaining some steam. Just in time for the race in... what, three days? Hey, I work well under pressure!
Monday 1 hr. yoga
Tuesday 30 min. treadmill at 9:00/mile or better, 10 miles bike (woulda been 13 but I stopped at Estoria for a couple beers, then Al picked me up and we went to dinner)
Wednesday 1 hr. yoga (I am liking the yoga, I can do a backbend!)
Thursday 40 min. run outside, 13 miles bike (I'll make it all the way home tonight)
Friday I'll swim, maybe yoga, maybe a short run
I'm not counting (no wait, I guess I am) the miles of walking or the swearing off of the elevator at work. Now that I'm on the fifth floor, it's a great opportunity for me to tack on a bunch of flights of stairs during the day. My unfocused misanthropy and discomfort staring at the walls of a small, moving metal box are also good reasons to avoid the elevator.
After the half-marathon on Sunday, I'll have to pick up the cycling. St. Anthony's triathlon is coming up at the end of April. I've got the mile swim and 10K run down, but the 25 mile bike may be challenging this year. I'm still looking to beat 2 and a half hours.

1 Comments:
There is a serious lack of good music on the radio these days. I've been listening to NPR, WSB or 91.7 (cool jazz) if I can't bring my own tunes.
Good for you on your workouts this week. You kick ass.
